PROViDE Rail Jam at the Beaver Mountain Yurt, February 4, 2012

Beaver Mountain is a small, family owned, ski resort tucked away in the Bear River range in the northern most, eastern corner of Utah.  Kris grew up there skiing and snowboarding.  “The Beav” (as most locals refer to it) is a pillar of local business in Utah where people come to enjoy the snow and the sense of community there.

On February 4th, with the help of Directive Boardshop and Beaver Mountain, PROViDE held a Ski and Snowboard competition at the base of the mountain where participants, old and young, slid rails and pulled tricks on their sticks in attempt to win prizes from our sponsors Eco Vessel, Al’s Sporting Goods, The Sportsman, Blimpie Subs, Squatters, Twisted Root, and Camp Chef.

Participants and Onlookers alike were able to hear great music throughout the competition provided by Bart Walker, and each delicious Haitian cuisine prepared on Camp Chef grills by Ryan “Hillbilly” Hill, and donated by Utah State Dining Services.  Thanks to Matt Logan from Logan Crest Design and Photography for great photos of the event. This was our most successful event to date regarding raising funds, and honestly, on of the most fun.

Can’t wait to do it all again next winter!
